Sharon Prince is a Consultant Clinical & Forensic Psychologist and is currently the Deputy Director for Psychological Professions at Leeds & York Partnerships NHS foundation Trust, and the Chair of the Psychological Professions’ Network for the North East & Yorkshire. She provides collaborative leadership to the Synergi Leeds Partnership which is a multiagency citywide network focused on reducing mental health inequalities for minority ethnic groups. She has been a clinician for nearly thirty years and is passionate about the importance of psychologically informed mental health care. Sharon believes that significant change in mental health care can only come about if we widen our gaze, embrace the complexity of people’s lives, and consider other creative and innovative solutions to preventing and working with distress. She is keen to shine a light on and contribute to the evidence base in this area.
