Implementing trauma-informed change across public services: a case study from Integrated Care System in southwest England.

In the last decade there has been a considerable amount of work through the Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and neighbouring areas to enable local public services and systems to become more trauma informed. Services involved include the police, NHS, local authorities, housing and a range of voluntary and community sector organisations. We will report on the evaluation of this system change, with a particular focus on transformation across sectors; translation of strategic and policy level change into practice at a service level ; organisational readiness to implement trauma-informed change.
At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Understand how trauma-informed change can be implemented across public services.
2. Learn from challenges we encountered.
3. Identify how this learning can be applied to their contexts.
