Dr Penny Netherwood is a consultant clinical psychologist at Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust and the health co-lead for the development of a new trauma-informed practice integrated resource team. This new team will work with the partnership of services for children and families in Leeds to help realise the ambition of the Compassionate Leeds strategy: for Leeds to be a trauma informed city that works to prevent the conditions that lead to trauma and responds compassionately and swiftly whenever trauma, or risk of trauma, is present.
